As a Social Worker in North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children's Services, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality Social Work practice to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families.

Responsibilities
* Join and support the Fostering Social Work Team in developing and expanding services to support foster carers in delivering the vision for children to grow up happy, healthy, safe in their homes and communities with loving people.
* Apply fostering practice expertise, including understanding the impact of trauma on children, and support foster carers in caring for children within a supportive service.
* Under supervision, engage with prospective new and existing foster carers; support marketing and recruitment events, support groups, fostering celebration events, and training.
* Conduct assessments related to Fostering and Kinship arrangements; supervise Foster Carers and support relationships with carers.
* Match children to appropriate fostering families to promote stability and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
* Experience in fostering work is preferred; transferable skills with a continued passion to learn and develop in this area of Social Care are welcome.
* A good understanding of the impact of trauma on children and the ability to support foster carers accordingly.
* Ability to work within a supportive leadership structure and contribute to a relational approach in practice.
* Qualified Social Worker with eligibility to practice; ASYE candidates considered.
