Robert Half are working exclusively with a leading international consumer goods business in Slough to recruit a Credit & Rebates Controller.
This is a key role within a well-established UK operation, offering the opportunity to work with some of the most recognisable brands in the FMCG sector. The business combines global scale with a collaborative culture, modern offices, and a clear focus on innovation and people development.
The Role
As Credit & Rebates Controller, you'll take ownership of the UK&I credit control function, with a strong emphasis on rebates and customer deductions, essential to success in FMCG. Responsibilities include:
1. Leading the credit control team and overseeing sales agreements, rebates, and promotional deductions
2. Ensuring accurate reconciliation of debit notes and claims, maintaining strong controls and audit trails
3. Driving effective debt collection and customer account management, working closely with the European shared service centre
4. Assessing and managing credit risk, setting terms, and ensuring alignment with commercial strategy
5. Driving process improvements and leveraging SAP to deliver efficiencies and better insight
About You
6. Proven experience in FMCG or retail, with particular expertise in rebates and deductions
7. 5+ years' experience in credit control, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
8. Strong SAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills
9. Excellent stakeholder management and commercial awareness
10. CICM qualification (or working towards) desirable
