Key responsibilities
* Work throughout Dundee Dental Hospital & School covering specialties: Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, and OMFU services.
* Provide dental nursing support for services within Broxden Dental Care Centre.
* Work within a clinical team that values patient safety and the delivery of safe, effective, high‑quality care within a challenging environment.
* Demonstrate ability to work within a large, diverse team and be committed to delivering high standards of care.
* Maintain evidence of continuing personal development and demonstrate excellent communication skills, along with a commitment to influencing change and improving patient care standards.
Qualifications and experience
* Recognisable Dental Nurse qualification.
* Registration with the UK General Dental Council.
* Experience in one or more of the specialties listed above.
* For current NHS Tayside employees: written approval from line manager is required before applying for this secondment; bring approval if shortlisted.
Employment details
Type – Permanent & Fixed Term; 37 hours per week (part‑time options available). Effective from 01 April 2026, the full‑time working week is reduced from 37 to 36 hours, with no change in full‑time pay.
