This senior role is key to supporting the Trust to build and establish a culture of continuous improvement and is part of the Improvement and Transformation team.
The role combines responsibility for leading and delivering improvement and transformation projects and programmes alongside supporting the development and delivery of the Trust's Improvement Capability Building programme. A significant focus of the portfolio is productivity and efficiency improvement – supporting the Trust to deliver more effective, sustainable services through redesigned pathways, reduced unwarranted variation, and better use of available capacity.
The role requires fostering excellent working relationships with organisational leaders, clinical services and corporate leadership teams, and ensuring measurement systems are in place to track both the implementation of improvement and transformative solutions and the maturity of continuous improvement across the organisation.
The role requires a blend of improvement approach, project management and delivery, training, coaching and facilitation at all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a portfolio of improvement and transformation projects, ensuring delivery of the Trust’s strategic, productivity and efficiency objectives.
* Apply robust programme management, governance and reporting processes to ensure projects are well planned, tracked and deliver measurable benefits.
* Work in partnership with clinical and operational teams to redesign pathways, reduce variation and improve performance, capacity and patient outcomes.
* Support the development and delivery of the Trust’s improvement framework, including capability building, training and coaching.
* Act as a trusted improvement partner to a clinical division, providing expert advice, shaping improvement initiatives and supporting delivery.
* Use data and measurement for improvement to identify opportunities, track progress and demonstrate impact, including financial and operational benefits.
* Engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation, building a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the spread of best practice.
* Collaborate with Digital, Analytics and other corporate teams to align improvement initiatives with wider system developments and priorities.
