Scrumbles is a fast-growing, purpose-driven pet food brand improving the lives of cats and dogs through gut-friendly, natural food. In this next exciting chapter of growth, we're looking for a Category & Insights Manager to join our team and help us make smarter, data-led decisions across marketing, innovation, and commercial strategy.
This is a high-impact role blending data analysis, consumer insights, and strategic storytelling. You'll work across Nielsen, digital analytics (GA4, Shopify) and internal data (SQL) to uncover insights that shape brand growth, product development, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and monitor Nielsen/Circana data to track category trends, pricing, and performance, providing regular internal updates and lead insight to shape range review recommendations
* Run website and customer behaviour analysis via GA4, Shopify, and SQL
* Conduct cohort analyses to inform retention and customer journey optimisation
* Design and execute quantitative & qualitative research with pet parents
* Track brand health and measure the impact of campaigns and innovations
* Build clear, actionable insight reports and dashboards for leadership
* Partner with marketing and commercial teams to influence range, pricing, promotion and NPD decisions based on insight
* Champion the voice of the shopper/pet parent to ensure decisions are grounded in real needs and behaviours
About you
* 3–6 years’ experience in insights, analytics, or category management (FMCG, DTC, or retail preferred)
* Proficient in SQL — comfortable querying customer and site data
* Skilled with GA4, Shopify analytics, Excel, and survey tools (e.g. Typeform)
* Experience working with Nielsen/IRI/Kantar datasets
* Able to distil data into strategic, visual stories to guide brand and product decisions
* Curious, commercially minded, and passionate about pets
