HLTA/Sports Coach (10 hours - over 3 days) and After School Club Lead (9 hours - Monday-Thursday)
HLTA Payscale Point 13 (FTE £28,163 per year, approx. £6,364 Pro-rata)
After School Club Lead Payscale Point 8 (FTE £25,992 per year, approx. £5,286 Pro-rata)
38 weeks per year
Commencing: September 2025

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally:
1. Have experience of working across the primary age range
2. Have experience working in a TA or HLTA role
3. Have experience of working within the National Curriculum in planning and delivering age-appropriate coaching sessions for a variety of sports such as athletics, football, basketball, gymnastics and tennis
4. Have experience of adapting coaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
5. Have experience of learning to manage group dynamics and create a positive and inclusive sports environment
6. Have experience of covering classes
7. Have knowledge of Sounds Write phonics, Complete Maths and PKC
8. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
9. Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
10. Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
11. Be able work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
12. Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative
13. Be able to work flexibly and professionally
About Role
We are looking for an experienced HLTA/Sports Coach to cover PPA and an After School Club Lead to join our team, working a total of 19 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The purpose of this role is to support the teaching and learning across the school, covering classes as timetabled and on an ad hoc basis when required and planning and delivering coaching sessions for a variety of sports across the school.
