CNC Technician - South Birmingham - £DOE Are you a skilled CNC Technician or Precision Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Join a leading manufacturer of high-precision equipment, supporting a wide range of customers across the South Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a dynamic field service role where you’ll be the face of cutting-edge engineering solutions. You'll be based in the South Birmingham area and work primarily within a 2-hour radius of Redditch, installing, servicing, and repairing specialist metrology equipment. The business is providing full training with the role and are keen to attract someone from a CNC background who is looking for a more varied role. As a CNC Technician you will be: * Visiting customer sites to install high-precision measuring instruments and systems * Carrying out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and precise calibrations * Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software faults * Maintaining detailed records of service work and customer interactions * Representing the company with professionalism and technical excellence What We’re Looking for in a CNC Technician: * HNC/BTEC in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience in a technical role) * Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail * Competent IT skills, especially in using service documentation and software tools * Full, valid UK driving licence (field-based role) Desirable: * Experience with mechanical/electrical fault finding * Strong time management and self-organisation * Excellent communication and customer service skills What’s In It for You: * Competitive salary * Company car provided * 31 days annual leave (increasing to 36 with service) * Company pension scheme * Private medical insurance and life cover (after qualifying period) This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Ready to Apply?
