Role Overview
The school is seeking a dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. Working under the guidance of experienced teachers, you will help raise pupils’ achievement and contribute to their overall development. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about working with children and potentially exploring a future career in education.

Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the delivery of planned lessons and learning activities
* Supporting individual pupils or small groups, particularly those with additional or SEND needs
* Preparing resources, classroom displays, and teaching materials
* Encouraging positive behaviour and cooperation during learning and play
* Supervising pupils at break and lunchtime where required
* Supporting pupils with reading, writing, numeracy, and intervention sessions
* Assisting with routine administrative tasks (e.g., filing, photocopying, maintaining basic records)
* Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills
* Providing general pastoral care, wellbeing support, and basic first aid (training provided)
Essential
* A genuine passion for working with children
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
* Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent)
* A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and undertake relevant training
* Patience, empathy, and a positive, supportive attitude
Desirable
* Previous experience (paid or voluntary) working with children, such as in a nursery, after‑school club, tuition, or youth organisation
* A basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
