Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Location: Cambridge Salary: Up to £44,000 About the Role We're looking for a skilled and dependable Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance and repairs across a portfolio of retail and distribution sites in the UK. Reporting to the Site Lead / O&M Manager, you'll provide both planned and reactive maintenance, working independently or alongside other engineers and subcontractors to ensure all HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with service standards. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring multi-skilled mechanical and electrical (M&E) knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Responsibilities: Perform scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns. Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems including Splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems, and occasional central plant equipment. Support system upgrades, retrofits, and minor projects with minimal disruption to retail operations. Provide accurate quotations for remedial works or system replacements following service visits. Maintain FGAS compliance records and update internal reporting platforms. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and site managers to ensure seamless service delivery. Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Requirements: Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer with FGAS certification. Multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems. Experience in commercial or retail environments preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
