Business Analyst (Consultant)
Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote)
Day Rate/Salary: £650 inside IR35
A leading digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their growing delivery practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation projects that impact millions of users.
The Role
As a Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements. You will support the design and delivery of innovative, user-centred solutions, while managing stakeholder expectations and contributing to project success.
You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Designers, and Developers in an Agile environment. Alongside delivery responsibilities, you’ll also help shape and mentor junior team members, ensuring best practice across analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define solutions that meet business and user needs
* Support the delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation and testing
* Contribute to backlog refinement, prioritisation, and sprint planning in Agile teams
* Ensure non-functional requirements (e.g. compliance, scalability, performance) are captured
* Coach and mentor junior analysts where required
Essential Experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst on complex digital projects
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Skilled in requirement elicitation, process mapping, and gap analysis
* Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments
* Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness
Desirable
* Experience in consultancy or digital agency environments
* Knowledge of multiple domains (e.g. public sector, financial services, healthcare)
* Active participation in knowledge-sharing or professional communities
