Overview
The Chilterns Neuro Centre, a Wendover-based charity providing treatment and services to people affected by MS, Parkinson's and strokes, is seeking several passionate and experienced individuals with clinical backgrounds to join our Board of Trustees and support our Therapy Team. As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the future direction of the charity. You’ll bring clinical expertise to strategic discussions, contribute to decision-making, and help ensure that the organisation remains accountable, effective, and responsive to the needs of our community. Being a Trustee is a deeply rewarding experience — an opportunity to develop new skills, broaden your perspective, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support every day.
There are important responsibilities too. Trustees hold ultimate legal responsibility for ensuring the charity is well-governed, financially sound, and delivering its charitable objectives for the benefit of our members, their families, and the wider community.
As a Trustee, you will get the opportunity to work with other professionals at our facility nestled in the Chilterns Hills and support a local, independent charity where over 850 people with MS, Parkinson’s or recovering from a stroke rely on us to deliver treatment and support that makes a real difference to the quality of their lives.
You will be contributing to a great cause. There’s no doubt that being a Trustee is one of the most powerful ways in which you can contribute to your local community or to a cause you really care about. It will give you strategic experience, increase your professional network, and offer you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain or increase your governance and third sector experience.
