We are seeking a Firmware Design Engineer to join a global leader in their sector, based in Saltash. You will have the opportunity to develop and test embedded software for cutting-edge products. This role will involve working with microcontroller technology, creating verification tools, and collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver solutions. Thispermanent opportunity will be on-site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
1. Design and develop embedded firmware primarily in C, with some assembler, for use in products.
2. Implement firmware architectures with a focus on low-power operation.
3. Design and develop PC-based test environments, primarily in C#, to verify and validate software, electronics, and product functionality.
4. Carry out verification and validation processes on developed embedded software and systems.
5. Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, ICE, and simulators to validate firmware performance.
