After thorough training, you'll manage phase - trials, handle patient appointments, explain procedures, collect data, deliver SACT therapies, and support patients and their families.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based within the Haematology Trials Unit, which operates under the Oncology and Haematology Directorate. This unit is actively engaged in a broad range of clinical research activities, focusing primarily on phase I, II, and III trials, as well as translational research projects. The team collaborates closely with the TV&SC RRDN( Thames Valley and South Central RRDN), in addition to working alongside academic, charitable, and commercial partners. Their main responsibility is to ensure the effective delivery of clinical trials within the Haematology portfolio.
In this role, the post holder will maintain close working relationships with fellow research nurses and practitioners, data managers, clinical teams, and designated junior doctors or Specialist Registrars (SPRs). This collaborative approach is essential for continually enhancing the quality of care provided and improving clinical outcomes for patients involved in these trials.
