I am a 16‑year‑old boy living in Port Talbot. I have a learning disability, Autism, ADHD and dyspraxia, but I am a regular kid with a happy outlook on life and a sense of humour. I enjoy football (playing for two teams), watching YouTube, playing on my PS5, and spending time outdoors.
I'm looking for a young‑at‑heart, outdoorsy Personal Assistant to help me explore new interests and develop independent living skills in the community. The PA may assist with attending football training sessions and activities such as parks and cycling trips. Hours are flexible, usually after college on weekdays and on weekends, totaling 8 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Support me to enjoy outdoor activities such as parks, the beach, or cycling on the Afan Argoed route.
* Supervise me while we are out to ensure safety.
* Support me in attending football training and practising football skills.
* Help me discover and try new activities that I might enjoy.
* Perform any other reasonable duties related to my support.
Qualifications & Experience
* Some experience supporting young adults with ADHD and Autism is an advantage.
* Must be a licensed driver with access to a vehicle.
* Conscientious, trustworthy, and reliable.
* Friendly, enthusiastic, chatty, and fun‑spirited, yet able to provide firm guidance when needed.
* Proactive, encouraging, and supportive in promoting my independence.
* Dedicated to keeping me safe and treating me with dignity and respect.
Hours
8 hours per week, flexible – typically after college during the week and on weekends. Occasional weekend hours may be required.
