SAP Solution Architect Exalto Consulting is supporting a confidential programme to appoint an experienced SAP Solution Architect. This role will provide end-to-end solution oversight across multiple SAP workstreams, ensuring designs are integrated, secure, and aligned to programme goals and SAP best practice. What you'll do Own the end-to-end solution architecture across HR/Payroll, Procurement, Finance, and Reporting Act as the design authority across workstreams: review, challenge, and approve designs and controlled deviations Ensure solutions follow a fit-to-standard approach and align to SAP best practices and cloud/hybrid constraints Define and govern integration patterns across: HR / Payroll systems S/4HANA Finance Procurement solutions Reporting and analytics platforms Work closely with Technical, Integration, Data, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure consistent master data, transactional flows, and reporting outputs Translate business needs into workable architectural options, explaining trade-offs, risks, and impacts clearly Support design boards, governance forums, assurance reviews, and maintain high-quality solution documentation Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt, ensuring non-functional requirements are met (security, performance, scalability, auditability) Experience we're looking for (essential) Strong background as an SAP Solution Architect on large, multi-workstream programmes Proven experience across Finance, Procurement, HR/Payroll, and Reporting Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture (public cloud and/or hybrid) Strong integration architecture experience (APIs, middleware, event-driven integration) Experience with SAP Activate and delivery governance using SAP Cloud ALM Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed design levels Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Nice to have Experience in UK public sector / local government Knowledge of payroll integrations and third-party HR/PY systems Experience with SAP analytics (e.g., Embedded Analytics, SAC) Background working in programmes with strong governance and audit requirements Certifications (desirable) SAP Solution Architect and/or relevant SAP certifications SAP S/4HANA Cloud certification Contract overview Contract (Inside IR35 / PAYE) Hybrid working Rate: £655 per day (Inside IR35 / PAYE) Start: subject to pre-employment screening (BPSS) If this aligns with your background, share your CV and a short note on your recent SAP architecture work across the domains above, and we'll confirm the next steps.
