The Best Connection Chesterfield are currently recruiting for an Auction Porter for our clients based in Derbyshire.
Our client are on a continued growth cycle and are based in the heart of the UK with excellent access to road and rail links. They are a leading firm in their Industry and have continually been selected as the go to business.
You will be required to handle a range of valuable items including Furniture, Paintings, Ceramics and Glass. You will required to assist on the Sales floor, working closely with Clients, Customers and Other team members along with preparing Internet catalogues, marketing and capturing images of items for sale. A requirement to sort orders through picking and packing is also there.
Key duties:
· Handling valuable and sometimes fragile items.
· Picking and packing.
· A variety of duties in the sales room.
Qualities and responsibilities:
· Good Computer skills.
· Experience in antiques and collectables is preferred.
· Interest or experience in photography but training will be given.
· Excellent work ethic.
· Reliable and trustworthy.
Work Pattern:
· Week 1 - Monday to Friday & 09:00 - 17:30.
· Week 2 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & 09:00 - 17:30 then Tuesday & 09:00 - 19:00.
· 60 Minutes break per day which is split into 2 x 15 Minutes & 1 x 30 Minutes.
· A need to work weekends will be required as and when the business requires but this is historically only days per year.
