Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £21,757 per annum

The St Leonards Academy is looking to appoint a full time Student Wellbeing and Welfare Officer (Behaviour and Inclusion) to join our friendly and proactive pastoral team. This role is to provide support for students during the school day. You will be available during lessons to pick up any issues and to provide care and assistance to any students struggling to access lessons.
You will work closely with pastoral leadership and will also be part of our on-call system relocating students from lessons where required. The St Leonards is a unique school and we aim to provide the very best pastoral support for our amazing students. Full training will be provided.
Within this highly rewarding role, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing support, care and guidance; ensuring that students emotional and wellbeing needs are met
* Ensuring students attend lessons
* Assisting students that need to be removed for behavioural or emotional reasons
* Working proactively and liaising with parents and staff in supporting students learning and progress

* Be an excellent role model; offering support and guidance to ensure students are fully engaged
