The Role
We are looking to appoint a committed and skilled Secondary Teaching Assistant to become part of our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and wider support staff to deliver effective in-class assistance and help create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with SEMH and SEN needs within the classroom, enabling them to engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Work alongside teaching staff to tailor lesson content and resources to meet individual and small group requirements.

Encourage the development of students’ emotional regulation, social interaction, and self-confidence.
*
Assist with maintaining positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
*
Liaise with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to support Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted strategies.
*
Promote an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment for all learners.
Requirements
*
Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is essential.
*
Sound knowledge of supporting students with SEMH and SEN.
*
Suitable for aspiring teachers or those interested in a future career in education.
*
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
*
A compassionate, proactive, and patient approach to student support.
