Role Overview
NHS 24 is building a talent pipeline for future Clinical Supervisor opportunities and is inviting expressions of interest from experienced, NMC‑registered, adult nurses who are passionate about delivering high‑quality clinical supervision within our telehealth service.
Responsibilities
* Perform high‑quality telephone assessments.
* Provide autonomous clinical triage and assessment, resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions.
* Offer real‑time clinical support to NHS 24 frontline staff.
* Facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information, self‑care/health improvement advice or, where applicable, referral to the appropriate level and location of care.
* Deliver clinical supervision to non‑clinical staff using a variety of models.
Qualifications
* Registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
* Excellent clinical decision‑making skills and ability to provide continuous clinical supervision and leadership.
* Extensive post‑registration experience, preferably within an acute or primary care setting, across a range of specialties.
* Critical decision‑making skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Shift Patterns
Permanent contract on Band 6: £43,231 – £52,679 per year (pro‑rata for part‑time hours). Competitive salary enhancements apply for working unsocial hours:
• Basic hourly rate: £23.03
• Saturday/After 8 pm weekday: £29.93
• Sunday/Public holiday: £36.84
Examples of estimated earnings for 36, 30, or 24 hour rotas with 5 out of 8 weekends are provided in the job pack (figures before deductions). Shift patterns may include 16, 24, 30, or 36 hours/week.
