As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by bp (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK's first decarbonised industrial cluster. Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Integration Lead to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
Responsibilities
* Lead integration across all BBK scopes (MEP, process tie-ins, control systems, modular systems)
* Manage interfaces with client, licensors, EPC partners, and other contractors
* Oversee multi-disciplinary design reviews, ensuring constructability and compliance with project requirements
* Develop and maintain interface management plans, trackers, and risk registers
* Coordinate sequencing, scheduling, and commissioning activities to avoid clashes and delays
* Act as primary point of contact for technical and delivery issues that cut across packages
* Provide leadership in resolving integration challenges during design and construction
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across integrated systems
* Report progress, risks, and integration status to senior project leadership
Qualifications
* Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related engineering discipline
* Strong track record in delivering complex industrial or energy projects (power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plants)
* Proven experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and interface management
* Knowledge of MEP systems, process plant integration, and commissioning planning
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
