My client is seeking an experienced Income Officer to provide effective, customer-focused support to users of the Income Control team. The Officer will be responsible for recovering all debts in accordance with the council's procedures. The client understands the pressures of the position and is committed to supporting team members in a comfortable working environment.
The team is looking for an experienced candidate who will work closely with other officers to manage the Council's commercial, voluntary, and community sector properties, providing high-quality valuations and property-related advice. The Officer will be supported by the team manager in managing their caseload and familiarizing with policies and procedures. The team values candidates who can adapt quickly and start contributing immediately.
Duties Include:
1. Possess strong knowledge of income advice and experience in housing.
2. Be responsible for maximizing recovery of all service charge income, including debts and arrears, following council procedures.
3. Monitor service charge accounts and take necessary recovery actions.
4. Resolve enquiries related to service charge accounts, including preparing repair listings.
5. Submit cases for judgment and monitor their progress.
6. Manage individual leaseholder accounts, ensuring they are up-to-date.
7. Provide advice on financial assistance options for leaseholders regarding major works debts.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and external partnership organizations.
9. Utilize your experience in Business & Administration, Finance, or related fields throughout this role.
