Education/Experience:
Proven experience as a Head of Development, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role in SaaS or enterprise software.

The Role
We are seeking a Head of Development to lead our engineering team and own the technical delivery of our product roadmap.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical expertise with team management. You'll be responsible for how we build software and when it gets delivered, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. You'll partner closely with the Head of Product, who owns the roadmap and priorities, to ensure delivery aligns with business and client needs.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
People Management
Lead and mentor a team of developers (SQL, DBA, and web specialists), driving engineering excellence.
Requirements Management
Translate product requirements from the Head of Product into technical plans and deliverables.
Standards Definition
Define and own software architecture, coding standards, and technical practices.
Delivery
Ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.
Process Management & Improvement
Oversee development processes — introducing pragmatic, efficient practices suited to a scale-up environment.
Internal Collaboration
Collaborate with Professional Services and Support during releases to ensure smooth handovers.
Peer Programming
Contribute hands-on to design, coding, and troubleshooting when needed.
Subject Matter Expertise
Stay current with technology and industry trends to guide the technical direction of LegalRM.
Role Balance
Balance strategic leadership with hands-on contribution, stepping into detailed product or technical work when required to support the team and ensure successful delivery.
Required Skills
1. Deep understanding of core technologies (ASP.NET 4.8 & upwards, Blazor, SQL, SQL Server, Azure)
2. Strong technical expertise in modern development practices, architecture, and frameworks.
3. Track record of leading engineering teams to deliver software on time and to high quality standards.
4. Ability to translate business requirements into technical execution.
5. Hands-on experience in coding, architecture, or database design.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
