IKEA Brighton are looking to welcome Store Assistants to support our creative team in the store. If you are passionate about maintaining visually stunning displays that captivate customers, we’re looking for a dynamic and detail‑or‑focused individual to support our creative team. As a Team Assistant, you’ll help bring our brand to life through innovative and eye‑catching presentations that display our products across the store. If you have a keen eye for design, excellent organisational skills, a love for retail and are eager to get stuck into practical tasks like painting, building, and making things happen, we want to hear from you!
What we offer
The start date of employment will be 10 October 2025. Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour. 20 hours per week across 5 days, including alternate weekend working. Shift patterns include early mornings from 6am to 10am. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.
What you’ll need to have
* Passion for home furnishings with experience in a busy retail environment.
* Confidence in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations, with the ability to work with other stakeholders in store.
* A flexible, practical, hands‑on approach to responsibilities and the ability to manage your own time to meet set deadlines.
* Self motivated to achieve goals and a desire to improve ways of working.
* Computer literacy will be beneficial to this role.
* Experience in basic wiring, tiling, painting, flooring and assembly/disassembly of shop fixtures is desired.
What you’ll be doing day to day
* Ensure our store displays consistently meet high standards, providing customers with an exceptional viewing experience.
* Provide essential support and contribute to practical tasks such as painting and assembling, to implement range presentation solutions that improve people’s life at home and exceed visitors' shopping experience.
* Support the implementation of commercial changes and displays in the store, including basic wiring, tiling, painting, and assembly/disassembly of shop fixtures where required.
* Keep visitors in mind when working on the shop floor, minimise disruption and remain aware of the importance of safety and the visual impact for visitors.
* Secure high quality, simplicity and cost‑consciousness in the execution of work by following established routines.
