Learning Support Mentor – Scarborough (SEND/SEMH)

We’re working with a specialist SEND/SEMH school in Scarborough that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time, long-term role with strong potential to become permanent — ideal for anyone who wants to build a rewarding and stable career in special education.

💰 Pay: £14.00–£17 per hour
📆 Start Date: ASAP

Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
* Build positive, trusting relationships that help students feel safe and understood
* Encourage engagement in learning, therapeutic sessions, and structured routines
* Support emotional regulation through trauma-informed and restorative approaches
* Use positive behaviour strategies to guide pupils
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where learners can flourish
