About The Job
We're looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background to lead the delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role with a high level of responsibility, where you'll manage the full project lifecycle from planning and execution to completion ensuring safety, quality, and commercial targets are met.
As part of your key responsibilities you'll:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of wastewater projects from start to finish.
Manage site operations, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Oversee the design and implementation of temporary works in line with engineering best practices.
Ensure adherence to CDM 2015 Regulations, acting as Principal Contractor or Principal Designer as required.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
Prepare and manage project documentation including RAMS, programmes, progress reports, and handover packs.
Provide technical input on mechanical systems such as pumps, pipework, valves, and treatment equipment.
Lead and mentor site teams, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
About You
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience managing projects in the wastewater or water treatment sector.
Strong knowledge of temporary works, CDM regulations, and site management.
Commercially astute with experience in budgeting, procurement, and contract management (e.g., NEC).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certification.
Full UK driving licence.
