Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on Lead Polymer Scientist to drive the development of our hydrogel adhesive platform. You will be the technical lead for all aspects of polymer synthesis, characterization, and optimization — working closely with internal and external teams to advance our product through preclinical, regulatory, and manufacturing milestones.
This role is ideal for an industry-experienced polymer chemist with a deep understanding of crosslinking systems, hydrogel design, analytical methods, and stability studies preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical sector.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in polymer design, synthesis, and characterization
* Strong background in biomaterials and biocompatibility
* Proficiency in data analysis and scientific report writing
* Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
* Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, MA
* PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
* Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
* Experience working under ISO 13485 or FDA QSR.
* Exposure to design control and tech transfer to manufacturing.
