We’re looking for an exceptional Physiotherapy First Contact Practitioner (FCP), and we want to hear from you. We’re a successful Trust committed to delivering high standards of clinical quality, patient care, and staff experience. Our success relies on our people— their experience, knowledge, passion, and ideas.
Your role will be to deliver the FCP responsibilities, working with system partners to ensure patients receive timely, expert musculoskeletal assessment and access to appropriate pathway-driven care. With your clinical experience and expertise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, along with your energy and commitment to public service, you will make a significant difference.
As an FCP, you will support the Head of Physiotherapy Service, Physiotherapy Professional & Service Development Leads (PSDL), and system partners to coordinate, develop, and implement the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service. You will work alongside other Senior Physiotherapists as part of our MSK Out-patient Physiotherapy and FCP Team, embodying our CARE values to foster an inclusive workplace.
This role centers on providing specialized physiotherapy assessments and identifying appropriate treatment pathways, including collaboration with system partners, developing plans, procedures, and governance to contribute to the system-wide MSK Service. We celebrate our staff and value collaborative working, and we want you to lead the development of the FCP role at our Trust.
Here’s a message from Sharon Wood, PSDL and your line manager: “If your experience, expertise, and motivation can help us deliver excellent MSK and FCP Physiotherapy services, come and join us. I’d love to welcome you onboard.”
We provide a full range of district general services, including urgent and emergency care, specialist children’s services, maternity, and community midwifery. Our primary care services are delivered through three GP practices with eight surgeries. Our vision is to provide exceptional care by exceptional people, and our mission is to unite our people, communities, and partners to deliver care we can all be proud of. Your energy and leadership are vital to our success.
Rooted in NHS principles and guided by “Leading the Chesterfield Way” and our Proud to CARE values, we lead with care, openness, integrity, and inclusivity. We recognize the importance of work-life balance and support your physical and mental wellbeing. This role is crucial for us, and we look forward to hearing from you.
