An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Ward Clerk to join the team on Enlli Ward at Bronglais General Hospital. This post is a key front-of-house role within a busy inpatient ward environment, providing comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care.
The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will contribute significantly to the efficient day-to-day running of the ward, providing administrative and clerical support to nursing staff, medical staff and allied health professionals, as well as acting as a first point of contact for patients and their relatives, both face-to-face and via the telephone.
Main duties of the job
The role involves a range of administrative tasks including maintaining patient records both paper and electronic, handling telephone and face to face enquires, processing incoming and outgoing post, coordinating appointments.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, a good team player, and capable of working independently when required. Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are important qualities for success in this role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; however, we welcome applications for both Welsh and English speakers.
