Director of Clinical Informatics (CCIO)

Are you a visionary clinical leader passionate about digital transformation in healthcare? Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outstanding Director of Clinical Informatics (CCIO) to drive the Trust’s digital strategy and champion the safe, effective, and innovative use of digital solutions to improve patient care.
About the Role
* Lead and manage digital delivery and development, ensuring clinical needs are at the heart of digital transformation.
* Provide expert clinical digital advice, chair working groups, and collaborate with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
* Act as the Trust’s digital safety officer, promoting a culture of innovation and clinical information excellence.
* Deputise for the Chief Digital & Information Officer in key forums and represent the Trust within the NHS and wider community.
* Play a pivotal role in financial planning, budget setting, and ensuring value for money in digital investments.
* Line manage the Clinical Informatics team and support professional development across the digital workforce.
* Lead on the integration of local and national digital initiatives, including the use of AI in clinical and non-clinical applications.
About the Trust
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research. The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
