We are seeking innovative and driven Championship and Academy Co-ordinator to help lead Kart Silverstone, a world-class facility at one of the most prestigious motorsport venues on the planet. At the heart of Kart Silverstone is a spectacular 1.4km FIA-CIK circuit, multiple Arrive & Drive configurations, and an iconic two-storey facility complete with a stylish restaurant, roof terrace, customer-focused reception, briefing rooms and workshop. As the Karting Championship and Academy Co-ordinator you will take ownership and responsibility of all internal and external championships, the Silverstone Academy and perform Duty Manager duties as required. You will ensure that the venue operates efficiently, managing the customer journey, whilst leading by example and championing customer service and experience.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
* Assist in the pre-opening phase, establishing exceptional operational standards.
* Collaborate with wider business stakeholders; venue, health and safety, security and medical ensuring efficient planning and effective delivery to all customers.
* Where required, responsible for daily operations, management of permanent and casual team, ensuring optimal track utilisation, flawless execution of events and a seamless customer journey.
* Manage events, ensuring safety standards, fair racing and exceptional customer service standards are met.
* Ensure all karts, tracks and equipment are maintained to the highest standard, managing the kart fleet parity.
* Be fully proficient in all Silverstone Karting systems, including booking, timing, etc.
* Assist in the onboarding and training of all new operational team members, ensuring all are informed on the Championship and Academy offerings.
* Take on ad hoc tasks as required by the Assistant Karting Manager.
* Implement and enforce SOP’s for all activities and tasks
* Lead the development and delivery of the Silverstone Karting Academy and Silverstone Championships.
* Take on acting Duty Manager duties for the Karting Venue where required.
* Lead the development and delivery of the Silverstone Academy, attending events and meetings as required.
Customer Experience:
* Lead and deliver unforgettable experiences from arrival through to post-event feedback.
* Maintain exceptional service standards, addressing customer concerns swiftly and professionally.
* Deliver engaging and professional safety briefings to guests.
* Assist with developing programmes and packages that cater to casual visitors, corporate clients and semi-professionals alike.
* Develop positive relationships with external Championships and their stakeholders to ensure a seamless delivery of their events.
* Chair the Silverstone Championship and Academy Committee, creating a positive forum for all to have their opinions heard. Produce agenda’s, action points and updates for regular meetings.
Team Leadership:
* Champion department collaboration and communication to ensure seamless delivery of operations.
* Lead teams in delivering Championship and Academy products, ensuring all stakeholders are suitably briefed on execution.
* Assist in developing and inspiring a high-performing team who are aligned with Silverstone’s values and culture.
Safety and Sustainability:
* Conduct inspections of the track and equipment.
* Enforce safety protocols, collaborating with internal teams to adhere to rigorous industry standards and best practices.
Financial Management:
* Develop a profitable Championship and Academy offering in line with the long term vision of Kart Silverstone.
* Understand staffing numbers, training and consumable usage to help ensure financial budgets are met.
Marketing and Revenue Growth:
* Understand the scheduling and products on offer, providing feedback and recommendations for better occupancy and profitable scheduling.
* Drive the Silverstone Karting Academy and Championships
* Drive upsell opportunities (such as helmet cameras and racing gloves), back to back opportunities and the wider Silverstone offerings (Escapade, Museum, Tours, etc)
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A proven leader with a track record of success in team management and operations management, preferably within motorsport or leisure industries.
* Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences.
* Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, thriving in high-pressure environments.
* Strong understanding of operational frameworks, with experience creating and implementing operating standards.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, operational best practices and industry trends.
* Previous experience in managing championships is desirable, particularly in a motorsport environment.

* Dynamic, fast-paced, and hands-on, with both indoor and outdoor activities
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed – we operate 364 days a year!
