About the Role
In our Inverurie service, Support Workers help individuals with a wide range of needs to lead enriched and independent lives. This includes:
1. Supporting individuals overnight in their homes
2. Ensuring the safety and security of service users and the property
3. Providing personal care and support with medication (full training provided)
4. Moving and handling
5. Promoting independence and helping individuals achieve their personal goals
Who We Support
The people we support in Inverurie have varied support needs, including:
6. Learning disabilities
7. Autism (including Fragile-X)
8. Epilepsy
9. Down Syndrome
10. Cerebral Palsy
11. Mental health conditions
Some individuals may display challenging behaviour, including verbal or physical incidents and self-injurious behaviour. Experience in this area is required. Experience with de-escalation techniques and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, is highly desirable. Full training is provided.

Shifts include:

Additional Requirements
34. Drivers preferred: Due to limited public transport during shift times, having a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred.
35. PVG Membership (Adult): An Enhanced PVG check will be required.
