About the Role Join us as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in Surrey. Our Talking Therapies service in Surrey is looking for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join them on a fixed term basis until January 2027. This is a remote position, covering the Surrey area. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of evidence-based mental healthcare, providing high-volume, low-intensity psychological interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties. You will play an important role in helping individuals access effective treatment, achieve positive outcomes, and improve their wellbeing, whilst contributing to the ongoing development and quality of the service. Please refer to the linked job description to support your application. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week on a fixed term basis until January 2027 (maternity cover). This will involve working at least one night per week (up to 8pm) as part of your working hours. The salary for this position is £36,441.34 per annum. Job Opportunity The Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will provide a range of information and support to our clients for evidence based high volume low–intensity psychological treatments such as guided self-help and information about pharmacological treatments. You will undertake patient-centered interviews, identifying areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and making an accurate assessment of risk to self and others. The post holder will also provide case management and clinical skills supervision for low intensity staff in line with professional guidelines and with agreement of their own supervisor and line manager, in one-to-one and group settings as required. We are looking for an individual with previous experience of managing their own caseload, carrying out assessments related to mental health and working with clients experiencing anxiety and depression, in a Talking Therapies service. You will thrive on analytical and problem solving and demonstrate leadership across the service. We are particularly interested in reviewing applications from candidates who have delivered case management or clinical skills supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners previously. Please note, the Refer a Friend scheme is only applicable if your recommended friend completes their 6 months probation period Essential Skills Training in CBT based low intensity interventions Talking Therapies PWP qualification and training Training related to working with people who have suffered with a mental health problem Trained on a recognised Talking Therapies Supervision course BABCP registration A successful track record of carrying out assessments related to mental health Ability to manage own caseload and time Ability to deliver evidenced based low intensity treatments such as computerised CBT, behavioural activation, worry management, panic management and exposure response prevention and other low intensity interventions Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients High degree of analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills DEI Statement As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff.
