Attendance Officer
Grade: G5 SCP 12–17, Hours: 15 hours per week – Monday to Friday 10am-1pm, 1-year fixed term, term time only, Actual Salary: £10,081–£10,936, To start as soon as possible.
The Executive Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a committed Attendance Officer to join our dedicated team to help address attendance concerns.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive the school minibus to carry out home visits to address any attendance concerns
* Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child’s attendance
* Identify, and where possible, mitigate potential barriers to attendance in partnership with families
* Coordinate meetings with pupils and parents/carers to implement interventions and track progress
Requirements
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to engage constructively with pupils and families
* An understanding of school attendance procedures and potential attendance barriers for families
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
