KPMG's Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (GRCS) within IGH is a fast-growing area, part of our Enterprise Risk advisory practice. We provide services related to internal audit, internal control, corporate governance, risk management, and assurance projects, primarily for public sector clients. Our services focus on modern control assessment, risk management, and audit techniques addressing strategic, operational, and financial management issues. We collaborate closely with other consulting teams, including Technology Risk and Cyber Risk, to deliver comprehensive advice and assurance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Creating annual internal audit plans for clients
2. Providing internal audit services on outsourced and co-sourced basis
3. Managing and delivering internal audit projects, including planning, review, quality assurance, and reporting
4. Offering risk management, governance, and internal audit advisory services
5. Conducting risk workshops and control reviews
6. Delivering control and risk training
7. Managing internal control questionnaires
8. Collaborating with other KPMG advisory teams
9. Maintaining client relationships and overseeing financial performance
10. Understanding legal, regulatory, governance, and financial reporting standards
11. Managing client engagement procedures
12. Staying updated on industry issues
13. Developing audit strategies
14. Involving specialists as needed
15. Reviewing audit evidence in line with standards
16. Explaining audit findings to clients and drafting reports
17. Reporting to Partners/Directors
18. Producing quarterly Audit Committee papers
19. Setting and monitoring engagement budgets
20. Monitoring work progress and fees
21. Allocating staff resources
22. Setting team objectives and providing feedback
23. Coaching and training staff
24. Identifying new business opportunities
25. Writing tender documents and proposals
26. Supporting business development
27. Conducting staff appraisals
28. Forecasting and reporting on engagements
Requirements include:
1. Experience in assurance, controls, or corporate compliance roles
2. Experience managing projects and teams
3. Experience with public sector clients is desirable
4. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
5. Qualifications such as IIA, CCAB, ICAEW, CIPFA or equivalent
