The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and agile Product Marketing Manager to join a high-priority, fast‑paced team at our tech client, specifically working on their AI initiative. This is a 6‑month contract with the strong potential to extend to 12 months.
Role Summary & Responsibilities
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will make broad contributions with minimal assistance, acting as a reference point for the product and strategy. A significant focus will be on driving innovative marketing campaigns, including brand partnerships (e.g., Movember) and social media/influencer activity.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Campaign Management & Execution: Develop and track medium‑ to large‑scale campaigns, communications, and programs to address user needs. Evaluate performance and define the most effective channels.
* Go‑to‑Market Strategy: Develop and execute the go‑to‑market plan and messaging for new products and features, including validating market size and identifying market opportunities.
* User & Market Insights: Scope and conduct user research and market analysis to develop innovative insights for marketing leadership and cross‑functional partners (Product, Sales).
* Positioning & Messaging: Develop product brand positioning, value propositions, and messaging strategy using user insights, ensuring alignment with the core product strategy.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Act as a junior expert on the product, providing input into the product development process and collaborating closely with Product, Sales, and other teams.
* Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Hold yourself and the team accountable for DEI outcomes, fostering an inclusive climate and acting as a diversity change agent.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
The hiring manager is looking for someone with roughly 7-10 years of experience (flexible for the right person) and a profile that includes:
* Marketing Execution Experience is essential.
* Proven skills in Project Management and Cross‑Collaboration.
* Experience with Brand Partnerships and/or Social Media/Influencers is a heavy focus.
* Comfortable in a fast‑paced, unstructured, and startup‑like environment.
* Proficiency in key marketing areas: Product positioning, Consumer behaviour, Brand management, Campaign management, and Go‑to‑market activities knowledge.
* A genuine Passion or experience for AI—be prepared to discuss how you use AI in your day‑to‑day life.
