External Account Manager – Technology Reseller (Newbury)

Build Strategic Client Relationships | Drive Growth | Shape Tech Solutions

Are you ambitious, confident, and motivated by building long‑lasting client partnerships? We're looking for an External Account Manager to join our growing team and drive commercial success across our technology solutions portfolio.

In this client‑facing role, you'll work closely with both new and established customers—understanding their challenges, advising on tailored IT and technology solutions, and supporting them throughout their journey with us. If you're commercially driven, people‑focused, and excited by the fast‑paced world of tech reselling, this is the perfect next step.

What You'll Be Doing

* Develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients across your territory
* Conduct discovery meetings and customer visits to understand strategic needs and technology challenges
* Identify opportunities to introduce new products, vendors, and value‑added services
* Build proposals, quotes, and solution recommendations that support customer outcomes
* Manage a healthy pipeline and progress opportunities from initial engagement through to close
* Collaborate with internal account teams, technical specialists, and operations to deliver an excellent end‑to‑end customer experience
* Keep CRM activity, forecasting, and account notes detailed and up to date

What We're Looking For

* 12 months experience in a business to business sales role.
* Experience working in the IT channel desired.
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
* Strong relationship‑building and territory management capabilities
* Highly organised with strong time‑management skills
* A proactive, driven approach with the ability to work independently in the field
* Genuine interest in technology solutions, client success, and long‑term career development
* Previous sales or account management experience within tech, distribution, or reseller environments (ideal but not essential)

Role Details

* Location: Newbury
* Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 basic
* OTE: Additional commission and car allowance
* Excellent training, development, and vendor‑led learning opportunities
* Clear progression pathways into Senior Account Manager or strategic commercial roles
