As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning, supporting pupils, and ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Secondary School Cover Supervisor – The Role
1. Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
2. Support pupils consistently while responding to individual needs
3. Manage student behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere
4. Promote inclusion, equality, and positive relationships within the classroom
✅ Secondary School Cover Supervisor – Essential Requirements
5. Experience working with young people aged 11–16 (school, youth work, or similar setting)
6. Minimum GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
7. Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
