Join Pascal as a Test Technician and play a critical role in developing our solid refrigerant technology. You'll execute extensive thermal and materials testing programs, contributing to our testing suite and ensuring the accuracy of our findings. This temporary position is available immediately with a 6-month contract and potential for renewal.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with materials scientists and engineers to design experimental equipment and procedures.
* Execute exploratory experiments and debug rapidly-built prototypes.
* Conduct structured experiments to assess compliance with design targets.
* Set up sensors, controllers, and data acquisition equipment.
* Develop control scripts and automations.
* Analyze test data using advanced statistics and data processing techniques.
* Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot system performance issues.
* Report and discuss results and learnings with the team.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and productivity.
Qualifications
* Experience in fabrication, assembly, and operation of electromechanical apparatus.
* Background in product validation and certification test programs.
* Proficient in executing documented procedures diligently.
* Experience with data acquisition and controls platforms, including industrial PLCs and laboratory-oriented systems like LabJack, Arduino, and National Instruments.
* Familiarity with precision gas handling equipment, heat exchangers, fluid state and flow measurements, and controls.
* Comfortable working on open-ended problems and adapting to changing goals.
* Ability to work with directional goals and a strong willingness to learn and solve problems.
* Excited to collaborate in a development environment.
