Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a successful team in Ramsgate. This role involves the design, maintenance, and fault-finding of electrical systems for machinery and equipment, with opportunities to work on automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for machinery and ancillary equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to provide technical support and improvements.
Ensure all electrical work meets relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain good housekeeping and undertake 5S activities in maintenance areas.
Conduct monthly inspections and testing of emergency lighting.
Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation; automation experience is desirable.
Skills & Experience:
Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or minimum 2 years' experience.
Proven experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with electrical design, fault-finding, and use of electrical test equipment.
Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, or automation systems is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Awareness of relevant health, safety, and compliance standards.
