Job Title: Technical Author – Nuclear- UK
Main activities:
1. Producing and updating technical documentation for the nuclear power Industry.
2. Operation and Maintenance Manuals
3. Receipt Inspections
4. Pre-Assembly Procedures
5. Assembly / Dismantling Procedures
6. Commissioning Procedures
7. Project Definition Documents
8. Plant Operation Instructions
9. Functional Test Procedures
10. Station Operation Instructions
11. Plant Maintenance Instructions
12. System Descriptions
You will work alongside a team of dedicated Project Engineers, Technical Authors, CAD Technicians, Document Controllers, and site technicians to create and maintain documentation needs for various on-site project teams. As part of the wider team, you will support weekly reporting functions including attending progress meetings with various stakeholders across the business.
Software’s used:
* Teamcenter
* MS Suite
Required Skills:
* Solid Nuclear engineering background.
* Authoring experience desired but can be taught if they have worked on some documentation.
* A strong understanding of engineering data in a variety of formats, Drawings, and Design Reports.
* A pro-active approach to problem-solving and investigation.
Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience within a nuclear engineering environment.
* Good understanding of engineering data in a variety of formats from Engineering drawings to Design Reports.
* Adequate competency using different software packages for planning/reporting purposes.
* A pro-active thinker that can provide potential solutions.
* Ability to track production of tasks from conception to completion.
* Drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer quality criteria.
* Ability to work to deadlines and adhere to schedules.
* Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Location: United Kingdom (minimum of 2 years residence in the UK)
Qualification: Diploma, BAC Engineering or Nuclear degree, or equivalent qualification
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years (5 YEARS Nuclear)
Experience required: more than 5 years working in the Engineering industry.
