Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Medical Oncologist with a specialist interest in melanoma, plus a second tumour site (flexible), to join our progressive and supportive oncology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well‑established service recognised for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.
You will lead care for patients with melanoma, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, work closely with immunotherapy, dermatology, and maxillofacial colleagues, and contribute to the Acute Oncology Service, teaching junior doctors, engaging in clinical trials and research.
Our Oncology Department delivers high‑quality inpatient and outpatient services across Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil St Margaret's Hospice. Supported by the Beacon Centre and Yeovil Haematology and Oncology Day Unit, the service includes systemic anti‑cancer therapies, radiotherapy, and an active SABR programme. The team comprises 13 consultants, clinical fellows, specialty doctors, registrars, and experienced CNSs.
