About the role
You will work on a day shift basis in a small Children’s Home in a rural community within South Powys. The home supports children/young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties due to their early life experience. Your role is to create a safe, healthy, learning, fulfilled home where children’s voices are heard and acted upon to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

What you will do
You will work on a day shift rota to provide continuous care as part of the team to the children and young people living in the home. You will build positive relationships through nurturing and teaching, connecting with a patient and calm manner, and promote healthy, safe routines by creating a warm, inclusive home. You will organise and promote activities for children and young people to learn new things and explore interests, hobbies, and life skills within the home and the local community. Work in partnership with families and carers of young people in achieving the aims and objectives of the young people’s plans. You will follow agreed policies, procedures, and legislative standards in your work and stay current with best practice.
This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
