Overview
The UK HMC Market Unit is looking for a highly experienced HR Director to shape and lead its people agenda, delivering a workforce strategy aligned with business goals and ensuring long‑term organisational capability.
Responsibilities
- Future Workforce Planning: Lead strategic workforce planning, assess impacts of client demand, digital disruption, AI/automation, and market changes, and define flexible workforce models.
- Talent Attraction & Retention: Develop talent strategies, strengthen employer brand, execute succession planning, and support critical skills development.
- Employee Experience: Own employee experience initiatives to improve morale, participation, and retention in a hybrid workforce; partner with leaders on cultural alignment and inclusivity.
- Client Engagement: Act as a strategic HR partner on major client engagements, supporting bid activity, due diligence, and workforce stability.
- HR Function Capability & Leadership Partnership: Define skills, capabilities, structure, and operating model of the HR team; advise the MU Leadership Team on planning and performance improvement.
- Leadership Coaching & Influence: Provide coaching to senior leaders, promote talent standards, and embed consistent feedback and development frameworks.
- Employee Relations & Industrial Landscape: Navigate complex ER and industrial environments, manage ER strategies, and support business transformation.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives, integrate them into talent and engagement strategies, and set metrics for accountability.
- Data‑Driven HR: Leverage people analytics and dashboards to inform decisions, track progress, and demonstrate business value.
Qualifications
- Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach.
- Senior HR leadership experience in complex, matrixed organisations, ideally in IT services or consulting.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
- Proven change‑management and high‑performance team building.
- Deep expertise in talent management, workforce transformation, engagement, and culture building.
- Experience managing a population of 2,000+ employees.
- High integrity, discretion, and commercial judgment.
- Commercial acumen linking people strategies to business performance and cost drivers.
- Experience leading HR transformation, operating model redesign, and digital enablement.
- Skilled in people analytics and workforce data for strategic decisions.
- Knowledge of HR governance, compliance, and risk frameworks.
