Overview
We are seeking a skilled Head of IT Infrastructure and Security for a fast‑growing legal company in Liverpool. This role will be based onsite in central Liverpool – while there is hybrid working once settled in, we will not consider candidates looking for full remote!
Key Qualifications
* Proven senior leadership experience in Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or IT Operations.
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure AD, Windows Server, networking, security tooling, and hybrid cloud environments.
* Deep understanding of security frameworks (Cyber Essentials+, NIST, ISO 27001).
* Experience delivering secure environments in a regulated industry – ideally legal, financial, or professional services.
* Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response.
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate technical detail into business language.
Role Purpose
The Head of Infrastructure & Security is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing improvement of all core technology infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks across the organisation. Operating within a regulated legal environment, the role ensures that all systems are secure, resilient, compliant, and optimised to support legal casework, fee‑earning operations, and business growth.
Leadership and Governance
This leader provides both technical authority and strategic oversight, driving continuous improvement inline with Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, SRA requirements, ISO 27001 best practices, and wider information governance standards.
