Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oulton LS26 8HE for the role of HGV Mechanic. The role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repair work on heavy goods vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The individual will also be expected to complete necessary paperwork accurately and liaise with the operations team to address vehicle issues effectively.
Qualifications
* Experience with HGV maintenance, including diagnostic skills and ability to perform repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and compliance.
* Ability to complete work efficiently and maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs.
* Proficiency in using mechanical tools and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* A relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent) is preferred.
* A valid driver's license (ideally HGV Class 1 or 2) and previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
