Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Position Summary: This position is in the International Sales Export Team based on our site in Loughborough. We supply our customers across Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa with a huge range of scientific products and services. Day to day responsibility for export customers for allocated areas, duties including order & quote editing and processing, screening of customers & orders and enquiries for export compliance, quotation follow up, complaint management, sourcing non-catalogue products, tendering, applying customs and export compliance regulations, meeting of deadlines for shipments and general resolution of customer enquiries, both verbal & written Responsibilities: - Working alongside Export sales team to provide outstanding customer service, for customers in the EEMEA region. Handling and responding to all types of customer service issues - orders (from receipt to shipment), quotes, tenders and general enquiries which can be complex in nature, whilst targeting to exceed Individual/Departmental/Company important metrics and strategically balancing the customer needs with business demands. - Rigorously adhering to customs and regulations for export. - Maintaining a prospect bank of quotations and where required, collating and analysing data, sourcing products from suppliers to fulfil requirements of tenders/quotes/orders, collating and assembling tender documents. - Highly skilled in promoting a positive corporate reputation. Maintains composure even when faced with the most difficult or exciting situations and has the ability to navigate through organizational boundaries - Responsible for the creation and maintenance of compliant transactions, by screening for denied persons and entities, restricted end uses and diversion using the Compliance control systems; IBS, Precision, Securimate and GTC Sanction controls. - Handling export customers within allocated countries/areas, developing and maintaining work procedures and written instructions. - Full participation in relevant Teams and face to face meetings to represent the export processes within the business. - Positively represent to customers, attend exhibitions, training events and meetings (which may involve overnight stays) and be flexible with working hours to meet business needs - Participate in PPI initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: - Strong self-motivated individual, who functions well in a fast-paced and diverse team environment with minimal direction; handling and prioritizing high volumes of work. - Excellent working knowledge of IATA/IMDG regulations, Letter of credits with appropriate qualifications - Detailed solid understanding of Export controls and export licenses or appropriate export qualifications - 2 A - levels or equivalent - Intermediate experience in Microsoft word/Excel - Experience of SQL - Prepared to travel overseas occasionally Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
