Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the WF1 area of Wakefield. You will be working specifically within the nursery class; your role is to help children thrive academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children in the nursery setting, assisting them in their learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
* Help create a positive and stimulating environment that promotes learning, play, and development.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Encourage children to develop essential social skills, independence, and self-esteem.
* Assist with observations and assessments of children’s progress, helping to inform planning and next steps.
* Work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to provide a cohesive and nurturing learning experience.
* Support the care and wellbeing of children, ensuring a safe and caring environment.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
* A genuine passion for working with young children in an EYFS setting.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience working with young children (preferably in a nursery or school setting).
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework and how to implement it effectively.
