Account Manager
📍 Location flexible – Minimum 1 day/week in Baldock | Occasional London travel required
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join a dynamic Retail Operations team, supporting a global electronics brand. You’ll be the key liaison between our clients, suppliers, and internal teams—ensuring top-tier service delivery and uncovering new commercial opportunities in the world of retail display and furniture production.
What You’ll Do
* Be the client's voice: Understand and translate strategic objectives into actionable briefs for internal teams.
* Oversee project delivery: Monitor timelines, budgets, and specs to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
* Collaborate cross-functionally: Work alongside production, design, logistics, and installation teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
* Drive commercial success: Support budget management, maintain forecasts, handle invoicing, and contribute to P&L oversight.
* Build relationships: Act as a trusted point of contact for key client stakeholders, ensuring expectations are exceeded.
* Spot opportunities: Work with the Account Director to identify and develop new business opportunities within the account.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage clear client briefs
* Monitor project timelines and work-in-progress (WIP) documentation
* Maintain monthly forecasts and ensure timely invoicing
* Attend internal and client meetings
* Deliver reports, presentations, and contract requirements
* Support efficiency, performance, and KPI delivery across projects
What You’ll Bring
* Proven client-facing account management experience, preferably with global brands
* Strong understanding of retail fixture/display production and installation
* Commercial awareness and budget management skills
* Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking abilities
* Calm under pressure with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
* Confident working independently and collaboratively with off-site teams
* Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desirable Experience
* Sales or business development in the retail fixture/furniture industry
* Managing projects to strict SLAs and KPIs
* Campaign and stock management experience
* Troubleshooting and risk mitigation in complex production or installation scenarios
