Job Description
A very well-established FTSE 250 business is looking to recruit an Employment andCommercial Lawyer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover adoption leave business is going through a transition period, and implementing somereally forward-thinking strategies, so it's an exciting time to join.
You willreport to the General Counsel and the role itself will be splitbetween employment and commercial work, you will have a good balance most days,sometimes swayed one way more than the other depending on the workload, andideally, you will have experience in both areas of law. The employment work willpredominantly be non-contentious, with some early stage tribunal work and thecommercial work will involve reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, aswell as some generalist exposure. You will be working within a mid-sized teamand although expected to hit the ground running, training will be provided toan up and comer with a lower PQE level, if you are ambitious to learn and grow.
The role will be of ahybrid nature and you will get exposure to an established organisation, who are in a transformative phase, striking a good balance to be able to get involved with somereally interesting work. The team is experienced, so you will have plenty ofpeople to learn from and bounce off.
