Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer – 12 Month FTC

VIQU is working with a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Server Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused hybrid environment (on-prem & cloud). This is a hands-on role involving BAU support, automation, and infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer:
Supporting and maintaining critical Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory and Windows Server estates
Managing hybrid environments that integrate on-prem systems with Azure and Microsoft 365
Working with identity and access technologies such as ADFS, SSO, and Entra ID
Maintaining and improving virtualised environments (VMware) and enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, HPE, vSAN)
Writing and enhancing scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency
Contributing to resilient infrastructure design, including clustering and high-availability solutions
Following established IT service management practices (incident, change, and problem management)
Partnering with internal teams to deliver upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer:
Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience (Windows Server 2016–2022, AD)
Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of Entra ID and modern identity
VMware or similar virtualisation experience
Scripting skills (PowerShell or equivalent)
Solid networking fundamentals
Experience in ITIL or structured environments
